“Re-membering the Vision: it’s about you!”
The Vision is about the whole community taking part.
We are custodians of a great work of art, entrusted with the memories and stories woven into the fabric of the building. And in return, we must, we will, rebuild a space that is safe, warm and accessible for all – physically and emotionally.
Each of us brings our own gift and each of us counts. In the realm of education, food, celebration, stories, remembrance: we are invited by the Vision to be a bridge to other communities, to heal the world and to serve as a light unto the nations.
The renovated Shul will be a kinder space: large, light classrooms for the children. Extra meeting and storage rooms to support the teachers in their work. A dedicated library and museum to guard and respect our history. No barriers to accessibility. Play spaces for our younger members. Comfort for our older members. Spaces that cultivate conversation and learning and joy.
All this takes intention – the same drive and commitment that our founder members showed. Each of us needs to ask – as our Founders did – “What is my gift…and what can I give.”
